Today marks the 88th anniversary of the ratification of the 19th Amendment to the U.S. Constitution granting women the right to vote (It would become law on 8/26/1920). I have always felt that voting was not only my right but my obligation as a citizen of this great country. I even went so far as to re-register in the state of Indiana so that I could "pull the lever" during the 1992 election, rather than vote by absentee ballot in my first presidential election.
I don't want to get political on this blog, but with the 2 current, presumptive nominees I may abstain from voting in the Presidential election this year (although I would vote for other offices on the ballot) because I don't know if I can pick the lesser of two evils...
Unfortunately, my vote in the primary wasn't enough for Hillary...perhaps I can do a write-in vote for her to feel that my vote is for something...
-OR-
Maybe I should just campaign for a repeal of the 22nd Amendment governing presidential term limits. How does that sound, Bill?
